This little hotel on the lake brought us a lot of pleasure. What set the
room apart was the fireplace and private balcony. The fireplace and
the sound from the balcony of the waves quietly moving against the
docked boats outside our window set a mood worthy of a romance
novel. The front of the Lodge parking lot might put the visitor off at
first as it looks like any other inexpensive hotel, but if your driving by
and can't decide -- don't let that put you off. This place is a little gem.
The lady at the front desk, Becky I think, was one of the most friendly
people I met during my travels. She told my husband she is a lifelong
local and was helpful with any information we needed to know. We
missed her the day we left, as there was someone else working. We
were lucky enough to stay off-season, so it was quiet. Restaurants
ranged from walking distance to less than five minutes by car. Also a
grocery store. This was my husband's first trip away from our
hometown in many years, and he wants to go back. Thank you for a
wonderful trip. By the way--I've stayed at the Royal Hawaiian in
Honolulu, and the lobby of the Lake Star Lodge, on a much smaller
scale, was just as nice.

Last weekend, my husband and I stayed in room #6 with a king size
bed and a wonderful large flat screen TV...It was "Heaven"... just
what we needed for a refresher. The bed was so comfortable and the
balcony overlooking the lake provided a beautiful sight. We also went
to the Simon Pearce Glass Blowing factory on Saturday..about
20-minutes away - so interesting and the glass blowing
demonstration was phenomenal. Great and friendly personnel
here...very bed & breakfast like but without the cost. We took
advantage of their spring blockbuster pricing which sure helped our
strained budget. We'll be back soon to see more of Deep Creek Lake.
Love it here.

Rooms were exceptionally clean and staff very polite and friendly
especially in helping us find the best restaurants in the area. Overall,
the Lodge was very comfortable and quiet located literally right next
to the Lake. The Wisp ski slopes were also just outside the balcony -
a gorgeous view at night. Good price for exceptional value!

We stayed here for our anniversary and it was perfect. The rooms are
comfortable and quiet and have an amazing view of the lake and
Wisp. The location is perfect right off 219 so when we wanted to
explore the area we were so close to everything. Lake Star was
perfect for our quiet, relaxing weekend. Friends also told us that 4th
of July is a blast at Deep Creek so we already reserved our room at
Lake Star right on the water!

The hospitality at the LakeStar Lodge is unbelievable..our family was
looking for a place on the Lake to spend a few days. And came
across the LakeStar Lodge...we fell in love with the pictures of the
Vacation Suite. When we arrived at the hotel and saw the Vacation
Suite for ourselves, we knew we made the right decision...it was
PERFECT. The staff was the best from check-in, helping us plan
everything. The only downside is that we didn't have more time to
see all the things that Deep Creek Lake has to offer. That's why
we've booked for next month. Swallow Falls was outstanding!

I have returned as an old Inlet motel patron. The renovations are
excellent and very comfy. I returned for the July 4th weekend and
really enjoyed the staff, cookout and the fireworks at the Wisp. My
daughter and grandson really felt at home visiting the Lakestar,
especially the hospitality from everyone. Thank you for a Great stay!
Becky and Robert you out did yourselves. Christi and Bob you have
done an OUTSTANDING job on the New Lakestar Lodge. I will be
back again before the summer is over!

WOW what more can we say. We had a marvelous time at the
LakeStar Lodge. The hotel was great, the view from our balcony was
breathtaking and EVERYONE treated us like kings! But most of all
the pontoon boat ride was wonderful. For Bob to make time for us on
a BUSY weekend to take us out on the lake was just unbelievable.
This was without question one of the best if NOT the best holidays
we have ever had!! Oh and don't worry, we will be back, so we will
see you real soon.

We had a great stay at the LakeStar. My Husband has some minor
back problems and Robert suggested the King Room. The Plasma
TV was a bonus! This was our first visit to Deep Creek and we were
pleasantly surprised to find such hospitality and upscale service from
a quaint lakefront hotel. We were used to staying in larger chain
hotels with more amenities but we did not miss them at all. The views
and the peace and quiet were just what we needed to forget about the
city for a couple of days. Thanks Robert!!!

My boyfriend and I decided to make a weekday trip to Deep Creek
Lake. We drove around the lake checking out the hotels and came
across the LakeStar Lodge. They had one room left upstairs with a
real fireplace and private balcony. Not what we expected! Actually it
was more than we expected. We loved it so much we ended up
staying there three nights. The manager were very helpful. They
made reservations for us and planned a FULL day. Horseback riding,
Swallow Falls. Awesome dinner at Pine Lodge Steakhouse. This was
without a doubt the greatest weekday getaway. Just looking for a
new excuse to visit or new friends at the LakeStar Lodge.

These folks are so nice. My wife and I stayed to celebrate our
anniversary. They surprised us with wine and fresh flowers in our
room at arrival. Our deluxe room had a real fireplace, private balcony
and views to die for!! We could view the lake activities and the hotel
rooms all directly face the skis slopes of Wisp Mountain Resort.
Appears that the rooms and lobby have just been renovated. The
lobby has a cozy "Inn" feel with a stone fireplace and comfy leather
furniture. LakeStar is directly on Deep Creek Lake. Docks are located
behind the Lodge where we docked our boat. We thought that Deep
Creek Lake was just a summer getaway but now want to see in the
other seasons as well!!! Thanks for the incredible stay!!! We will be
back!!!

The place was just recently remodeled. And let me say they did a
great job. They set in a quiet cove of Deep Creek Lake! The views of
Wisp Mountain Resort and Deep Creek Lake are without a doubt the
BEST on the lake. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty.
I've never seen such hospitality any where! Thanks!! We'll see you
this summer!

No longer the Innlet Motor Lodge. It is now LakeStar Lodge. The
room we had was ALL new and very nicely re-done. We had a great
view of the lake and ski area, the room even had a fireplace and they
left a log for us every night. To sum it up; nice, new, clean affordable

We spent a lovely weekend at the LakeStar during the celebration of
autumn - "Autumn Glory". Beautiful scenery right from our hotel
balcony - spectacular rainbow of colors on the Wisp Mountain and
direct lake views. Relaxation for me. My husband spent some time
fishing behind the hotel on their docks. Our upper level room had a
real fireplace that we definitely used on the chilly evenings. A glass of
wine and some romance too!! Definitely will be returning during
snow skiing season. Highly recommended this quaint hotel with the
friendliest staff and really lovely rooms to your readers.

Best lodging around when skiing at Wisp! - based on my experience.
Stayed in an upper level room with a fireplace and amazing views of
the Wisp ski slopes - at night, they are all lighted!! Nice people, great
room, convenient to everything, located right on the lake - highly
recommend to your readers. Wish I could have stayed longer.
