Wisp Golf Course, named one of the "100 Must-Play Courses of the Mid-Atlantic" by Golfstyles Magazine. This 6,700 yard par 71 championship course features tree-lined fairways interwoven with bunkers and water hazards; making this course a must for any avid golfer. Just a two minute drive from the lodge. Oakland Golf Club, just 15 minutes from Deep Creek Lake; this course is also a championship length par 71 course. Highlighting the course are two challenging signature holes. Kids ages 7-18 can learn about the spirit of the game at The Oakland Junior Golf program from June 14th to July 26th. |

| From power boats and pontoon boats to jet skies, the waters of Deep Creek Lake are a boater's dream. There are three boat rentals within walking distance of the Lodge, two of which are listed on the right. | Fly Fishing & Fishing |
| One of the things that Garrett County is best known for by it's visitors is fishing. Between its many lakes, streams and rivers; every fisherman will find a catch to please. May 1st through September 30th is Garrett County's Annual Fishing Contest sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and Deep Creek Lake Outfitters. |

| Garrett County is a hiker's paradise. Over 5 state parks offer hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts with stands of trees, powerful waterfalls and raging rivers. Take advantage of the breathtaking scenery that Garrett County has to offer. Wisp also offers mountain biking for all ability levels on wooded nature trips or down the ski slopes. | Horseback Riding |
| Deep Creek Lake is a popular place for Flatwater Kayaking, but for true tranquility head to New Germany and Herrington Manor State Parks. For the more adventurous, the Potomac, Cheat, Savage and Youghiogheny Rivers provide Class I to Class V whitewater runs. Garrett County was the host area of the 1989 Whitewater World Championships and the 1992 Whitewater Olympic Trials. If you are interested in renting a kayak for the duration of your stay, please contact the Lodge to have one delivered on your arrival date. Opened earlier this year, the new Adventure Sports Center International on Wisp Mountain will be sure to give you adrenaline rush. |
| Almost every little girl loves to go horseback riding. Our area is home to several stables that can give you and your family the best riding experience possible. Both of the stables listed here are within minutes of the Lodge. |

| Garrett County has a total of 80,000 acres of public hunting land maintained by the state and has been the destination of avid hunters for centuries. Areas open to the public include Mt. Nebo Wildlife Management Area, Deep Creek Lake State Park, Potomac-Garrett State Forests and the Savage River Forest. |

| ATV Trail Riding |
| All-terrain vehicles are welcome on the 20 miles of designated off-road vehicle trails within the Potomac-Garrett and Savage River State Forests. Guided ATV tours are also available. Contact the lodge for more information on tours and for a complete listing of rental companies. |


| Wings of Challenge, a 380-acre reserve, offers sporting clays and skeet at 25 different stations. Rent a gun or bring your own. (There is pheasant hunting on the land as well.) |

| Several free courts in Garrett County are open to the public. Mountain Lake Park boasts four clay tennis courts and is the site of the Regional Clay Court Championships every year. |

| With three lakes to choose from Garrett County is just plainly a great place to go waterskiing. Boats, instruction and equipment are all available here at Deep Creek Lake from local marinas and outfitters. |
| Wakeboarding and Waterskiing |

| Wakeboarding is making a "splash" at Deep Creek Lake with the Annual Bust Largeness Wakeboard Contest sponsored by High Mountain Sports held every August. |

| Scuba Diving |
| Garrett County may not be the best place to Scuba Dive, but Deep Creek Lake and Jennings Randolph Lake do offer the best visibility in this area. There is no dive shop in this area so be sure to bring your own equipment and remember conditions are always cold-water, altitude diving. |
